[...] The Cranky Voter added an interesting post on The American Dream - Blackmailing China and IndiaHere’s a small excerptSo Hillary Clinton took her first trip as Secretary of State. Of all the places in the world she chose Asia. Most incoming Secretaries visit Europe first, but not Hillary. President Obama went up to Canada, well maybe that was to make sure a trade war wasn’t started over his rhetoric, but not Hillary. Perhaps she is sending a message, that Asia is important, and the United States is going to focus on those guys .. over there .. on the other side of the world.
The only problem with your argument is that, Greed, for lack of a better word, is Good, and it is what fuels New York City's Economy. The fact that crime is up and there are bums and beggars on the New York City Subway has nothing to do with the fact that Bloomberg is good for business. That he wants to keep companies in New York that provide jobs to the city and keep the economy growing is not a bad thing.

If New York City really wanted to encourage businesses to stay in New York instead of moving to New Jersey, they would reduce the corporate tax rate even further and do whatever it took to get companies to do business in New York. Being Pro-Business is not a bad thing. Allowing crime to get out of control and bums to live on the Subway, that is a bad thing! Allowing 7 years to pass before any development has been started on the replacement for the WTC, that is bad! Spending more time thinking about running for President as an Independent candidate instead of taking care of the city, that is bad! Switching parties from Democratic to Republican to Independent for political expediency is Bad! And comparing yourself to America's Mayor and one of the best we have had for a long time, that Mayor Bloomberg .. is Bad!
